Curriculum

Our curriculum is 'site developed' and it is a hybrid of the National Curriculum of England and Wales with a healthy dose of the Nigerian culture infused into it. The Nigerian segments can be found in Citienship/Social Studies and History. Some of our comprehension passages are also Nigerian per examples.

Our curriculum is designed to strike your child's imagination, encourage discovery and nurture a love for learning. Our work model encourages the development of the total child and our focus is on literacy, numeracy, social studies, integrated science, movement, arts, music, fine and gross motor development, personal and social development.

The written curriculum framework incorporates the five essential elements listed below. We also ensure the Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor domains are incorporated into each lesson. These elements allow the children to make connections with life outside the classroom.

  1. Concepts
  2. Knowledge
  3. Skills
  4. Attitudes
  5. Action.

We provide opportunities that enable children to develop sensitivity to the experiences of others. In addition, our environment guides the children towards displaying socially responsible actions as a result of intentionally planned learning experiences.

We are set up for children aged three months to eleven years. These years are a foundation for all the learning to come later and we do not take this lightly.

We offer a beautiful delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for our Early Learners and our primary curriculum is a hybrid of the National Curriculum of England and Wales with a healthy dose of the Nigerian culture infused into it. The Nigerian segments can be found in Citienship/Social Studies and History. Some of our comprehension passages are also Nigerian per examples.

We aim to challenge your child's reasoning, foster critical thinking, encourage discovery and nurture a lifelong love for learning. Our work model encourages the development of the total child and our focus is on language arts, math, science, social science, civics, moral and Christian religious education, the arts, music, fine and gross motor skills and personal and social development.

The curriculum is integrated, demanding and experiential and it equips all our learners with skills that embrace the challenging and dynamic needs of the 21st Century.
